Discover Toronto

Toronto, the Queen City, is a must-see if you’re planning a visit to Canada. A modern city with a very efficient public transit system, Toronto is home to over five million inhabitants and more than a hundred different nationalities. The city ranks among the world’s most ethnically diverse, with over 40 percent of its population identifying themselves as part of a visible minority. Toronto is sometimes called the "New York of the North", and like its American counterpart, it shares the same spirit of openness on the world. Visiting Toronto, you will discover one of the safest and cleanest cities in North America. With four seasons of extreme temperatures, Toronto offers a wide variety of cultural and sporting activities. The city boasts many institutions of higher learning, including Canada’s largest, the University Of Toronto. This dynamic city has a vibrant nightlife with pubs, bars, restaurants and numerous nightclubs. Take a guided sightseeing tour of the city and discover museums, cinemas, national monuments, and impressive structures such as the world-famous CN Tower, Ontario Place, the Harbourfront Centre and Casa Loma. Depending on the weather, you can spend a weekend in the heart of Algonquin Provincial Park, go skiing in the Blue Mountains, visit Ottawa, or take a bus (or helicopter) to Niagara Falls! Toronto also hosts more than 30 film festivals and numerous cultural events.
