VOLUNTEERING AT LE MONDIAL CHORAL

If you wish to break with the hustle of every day life and experience something new, why not share your talents and your know-how with our team. You’ll meet generous and interesting people and you will find growth and experience the thrill of participating in an event the size of ours.

Time spent with us at the Mondial Choral is not only time well spent, it is time well invested.

If you are dynamic and filled with joy; if you are always ready to be part of a team and have a flexible schedule, join us. We are looking for passionate, generous people as yourself. You need only be 16 years and older and have a minimum of four hours to give us. By volunteering, you will ensure that our beloved event is a success.

A LOT TO CHOOSE FROM

To help you choose what and how you can help us, here is a description of the many responsibilities volunteers share in organizing the grandest choral gathering in North America: Le Mondial Choral Loto-Québec in Laval.

From June 20 to June 29

  1. Accompanying guest choirs (for both indoor and outdoor sites)
Acting as dedicated hosts for visiting choirs is central to those choirs’ appreciation of their stay with us. To this end, our volunteers are expected to
    • Answer choristers and choir leader’s questions and requests
    • Make sure choristers are well taken care of
    • Take choirs to their destinations
    • Encourage and make choirs feel welcome and safe
  2. Arrival and Accreditation
Our Accreditation center is at the heart of choirs’ stay with us. As they arrive in Laval, all choirs are asked to visit the center. Volunteers at this post must:
    • Welcome choirs
    • Give basic information about the stay and the city
    • Answer choristers’ questions and requests
  3. Souvenir shops (both indoor and outdoor)
Paraphernalia is sold on our site. Volunteers must:
    • Follow kiosque protocol
    • Sell paraphernalia and occasional guest merchandise
    • Hold inventory
    • Give out basic information to guests and patrons
  4. Venues (halls, churches and chapels)
Volunteers are always on site and make sure activities are held as scheduled. They must:
    • Welcome choirs
    • Work as relay person between choir leaders and technical crew on site and MC.
    • Partake in parking responsibilities on site
    • Sell and distribute water to patrons and, in some cases, receive non mandatory monetary participation from the crowd
    • Accueillir le public
    • Distribute our event’s official program
    • Fill out Surveys
    • Make sure the venue is clean and classy
  5. Tending to the needs of our guest Stars
We take care of our guest stars as best we can. Our volunteers are asked to:
    • Prepare catering
    • Welcome guest stars
    • Answer requests and questions
  6. Cafeteria (Choir Headquarters)
Volunteers serve hot meal and partake in the uptake of headquarters and Cafeteria. They must:
    • Prepare Cafeteria before meals
    • Serve meals
    • Inform guests on our menu
    • Maintain cleanliness
  7. Surveys (indoor and outdoor)
To better serve our patrons, we proceed with regular surveys during our event. To this end, volunteers must:
    • Collect information on every site
    • Inform patrons on our programming

Volunteering, a year long cause
We can also use your help the whole year through. Whether to handle the phone, to partake in the preparation of databases or in the promotion of the event, we can always use a hand.
